Jain Ingredient Policy
1. Preamble & Philosophy
Aadaten Private Limited (hereinafter "Aadaten", "the Platform", "We", "Us") was founded on the principle that Jain philosophy is not merely a religion — it is a complete lifestyle science rooted in Ahimsa (non-violence), Anekantavada (multiplicity of truth), and Aparigraha (non-possessiveness). Every product listed, served, or sold through Aadaten must honour these foundational principles.
This Jain Ingredient & Purity Policy (hereinafter "Jain Policy" or "this Policy") establishes the definitive standards for ingredient permissibility across all food, beverage, cosmetic, wellness, and household products listed on the Platform. This Policy applies to all Sellers, Vendors, Cloud Kitchen Partners, Restaurant Partners, and Aadaten’s own private-label products.
Aadaten adopts the Standard Jain dietary framework as its baseline, with enhanced seasonal standards applied during Paryushan and Oli periods (governed separately under the Paryushan & Seasonal Fasting Protocol Policy).
2. Scope & Application
This Policy applies to:
All food and beverage products listed on the Pure Pantry, Jayna Purvak Kitchen, Botanical Brews & Artisanal Dairy, and Nature’s Kitchen categories.
Wellness, personal care, cosmetic, and beauty products listed under Wellness Labs, Skin Nutrition, Hair Therapy, Mindful Beauty, and The Mother & Child categories.
Household products, cookware, and ritual items listed under Living Atelier, Heritage Cookware, and Festive & Rituals categories.
All Cloud Kitchen and Dine-In menu items prepared and served under the Aadaten brand.
All products exhibited or sold at Aadaten Exhibitions, Jain Food Festivals, and Aadaten Stores (Retail).
Products offered under Enterprise, Express (Wholesale), and Global Vision verticals.
This Policy does NOT apply to: third-party professional service listings under the Lifestyle Concierge vertical; digital content under Wisdom Digital; non-consumable tech products where Jain ingredient standards are not applicable.
3. Definitions

A product that meets ALL criteria in this Policy: contains no prohibited ingredients, has been verified by the Seller through documentary evidence, and has been approved by Aadaten’s Ingredient Review Process.
3.2 “Jain-Friendly” Product
A product where the primary ingredients comply with this Policy, but trace cross-contamination or shared manufacturing lines with non-Jain products cannot be fully excluded. Such products must carry a visible “May contain trace elements” disclaimer on their listing.
3.3 “Non-Jain” Product
Any product containing one or more prohibited ingredients as defined in Section 4 or 5. Such products shall not be listed on the Platform unless explicitly approved under a Non-Jain category designation (if activated in future).
3.4 “Seller” / “Vendor”
Any individual, partnership, LLP, or company onboarded to sell products through the Aadaten marketplace, including third-party vendors, cloud kitchen partners, and restaurant partners.
3.5 “Root Vegetables”

4.1 Animal-Derived Ingredients
Meat, poultry, seafood, and all derivatives thereof (including broths, stocks, hydrolysed animal protein, lard, tallow, suet).
Eggs and egg derivatives (egg albumin, egg lecithin — unless verified plant-derived lecithin).
Gelatin (all types: porcine, bovine, fish — E441). Gelatin as capsule shell material is also prohibited.
Rennet (animal-derived). Cheese produced using animal rennet is prohibited. Microbial or plant rennet cheese must be declared.
Isinglass (fish bladder-derived fining agent, commonly used in wines, juices, beers).

Shellac / E904 (lac insect secretion, used as glazing agent on confectionery, fruits, pharmaceutical tablets).
Beeswax / E901 (insect-derived, used in coatings and cosmetics). Prohibited.
Lanolin (sheep wool grease). Prohibited in cosmetics and personal care.
Casein and Caseinate (milk-derived proteins). Only acceptable in dairy products where dairy is a primary, declared ingredient.
Whey and whey derivatives when used as hidden additives in non-dairy products.
Musk (animal-derived, used in perfumes/cosmetics). Synthetic musk must be declared as such.
Pepsin (animal-derived digestive enzyme used as food additive or supplement ingredient).
Hyaluronic acid of animal origin. Plant or fermentation-derived hyaluronic acid is permitted with declaration.
Squalene of shark origin. Plant-derived (olive) squalene is permitted with declaration.
Collagen of animal origin (bovine, porcine, fish). Vegan/plant-based collagen boosters are permitted.

4.2 Root Vegetables (as defined in Section 3.5)
All root vegetables as defined in Section 3.5 are prohibited as primary ingredients. This includes fresh, dried, powdered, freeze-dried, and extract forms of the prohibited roots.
Exceptions: Dried ginger powder (sonth), dried turmeric powder (haldi), and asafoetida (hing/heeng) are PERMITTED as spice ingredients, as these are traditional Jain-accepted forms. However, fresh ginger and fresh turmeric roots are NOT permitted.
Asafoetida (hing) Note: Sellers must ensure the hing product does not contain wheat/flour compounding with animal-derived substances. Pure hing or hing compounded only with edible starches is permitted.
4.3 Alcohol & Intoxicants
Ethyl alcohol / ethanol in any consumable form, including wine, beer, spirits, liqueurs, and fermented beverages with measurable alcohol content.
Alcohol-derived food additives where the carrier solvent is ethanol (e.g., certain vanilla extracts, liquid flavourings using ethanol as a carrier). Sellers must declare solvent basis.
Note: Fermentation-derived ingredients where alcohol is fully metabolised (e.g., vinegar from apple cider when fully converted to acetic acid) require Seller declaration and are evaluated case by case by Aadaten’s Ingredient Review Panel.
4.4 Other Prohibited Items
Tobacco and nicotine in any form.
Five pungent roots / Pancha Kanda beyond those already listed: leeks, shallots, spring onion bulbs, chives used as primary flavouring agents.
5. Conditionally Permitted Ingredients — Category B (Requires Declaration)
The following ingredients are permitted ONLY when the Seller provides documentary evidence of sourcing, and the product listing clearly discloses their presence:
Dairy (milk, cream, butter, ghee, yoghurt, paneer): Permitted in dairy and food products. Must be declared. Non-Jain processing agents (animal rennet, gelatin stabilisers) within dairy are prohibited.
Honey: A matter of individual Jain practice — some observant Jains avoid honey. Products containing honey must be clearly labelled. Aadaten does not classify honey as prohibited but requires prominent label disclosure.
Mushrooms: Permitted. However, some stricter Jain practitioners avoid mushrooms — products must declare mushroom content.
Figs, mulberries, brinjal (eggplant): Permitted but must be declared as these contain micro-insects according to some Jain traditions.
E-numbers with dual plant/animal sourcing — see Section 6.
Activated charcoal (food-grade): Permitted. Must be declared.
Probiotics: Only plant-medium or dairy-medium fermented cultures are permitted. Animal-based culture media are prohibited.
Vinegar: Only plant-derived (apple cider, white distilled from grain, rice vinegar) is permitted when fully converted to acetic acid. Wine vinegar or malt vinegar with residual alcohol must be declared and is Category B.
6. E-Code Reference — Jain Classification Table
The following E-codes are classified for Aadaten Sellers’ reference. Sellers must verify the current manufacturing source of each additive before declaration. Duplicate E-code listings from separate sourcing streams are consolidated below — each code appears once.

In addition to the prohibited ingredients in Section 4, the following apply specifically to cosmetic, skincare, haircare, and personal care products listed under Wellness Labs:
No animal testing at any stage of production — this includes raw material testing and finished product testing.
No carmine (E120), no lanolin, no beeswax, no animal-derived glycerin (only plant-derived glycerin is permitted).
Fragrance compounds: Must declare whether ‘natural fragrance’ is plant-derived or contains animal musks. Synthetic musk is permitted with declaration.
Preservatives: Parabens permitted but must be declared. No formaldehyde-releasing preservatives.
Products marketed as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ on the Platform must carry USDA Organic, ECOCERT, or India Organic certification, or an equivalent verifiable third-party certification.
8. Seller Compliance Obligations
Every Seller listing a product on the Platform must:
Submit a completed Jain Ingredient Declaration Form (available in the Seller Dashboard) for each product SKU at the time of listing.
Upload the complete ingredient list as it appears on product packaging.
Provide the name and FSSAI license number of the manufacturer for all food products.
Notify Aadaten within 48 hours of any change in formulation, supplier, or manufacturing facility that may affect Jain compliance status.
Permit Aadaten to conduct spot audits, request third-party lab test certificates, or delist any product pending compliance verification.
Bear full liability for any loss, harm, or consumer complaint arising from a product sold under a false or incorrect Jain-compliance declaration.
Non-compliance with this Section constitutes grounds for immediate product delisting, account suspension, and recovery of penalties as specified in the Vendor/Seller Agreement.
9. Labelling Requirements on the Platform
All product listings on aadaten.com must display:
Jain Status Badge: “Jain-Certified” or “Jain-Friendly” or “Contains Dairy” (as applicable).
Full ingredient list accessible via product detail page.
Allergen warnings (gluten, tree nuts, peanuts, soy, dairy, sesame) as per FSSAI Food Safety and Standards (Labelling and Display) Regulations 2020.
FSSAI license number of the manufacturer.
Best-before / expiry date, and net quantity.
Seasonal restriction flag: Products that become non-permissible during Paryushan/Oli must be tagged accordingly. See Paryushan & Oli Policy.
10. Jain vs. Vegan vs. Vegetarian — Aadaten’s Distinction
Aadaten explicitly distinguishes the Jain standard from vegan and vegetarian standards as follows:
Vegetarian (Green Dot)
No meat, poultry, seafood. Eggs, dairy, honey permitted.
Vegan
No animal products — no dairy, no eggs, no honey, no beeswax, no lanolin.
Jain (Standard)
No root vegetables, no meat/eggs/seafood, no alcohol-derived additives, no animal-derived E-codes. Dairy and honey individually evaluated.
Jain (Paryushan/Oli)
All of the above PLUS additional seasonal restrictions. See Paryushan Policy.
A product may carry both a ‘Vegan’ and a ‘Jain-Certified’ badge if it meets both standards. A vegan product does NOT automatically qualify as Jain-Certified.
11. Aadaten’s Right to Review, Reject, and Delist
Review any product listing for compliance with this Policy at any time.
Request documentary evidence of ingredient sourcing from Sellers at any point.
Delist any product found to be non-compliant, with or without prior notice.
Commission third-party laboratory testing of any listed product at the Seller’s cost if a consumer complaint is received regarding ingredient non-compliance.
Impose penalties as specified in the Vendor/Seller Agreement for wilful misrepresentation.
12. Consumer Complaints & Ingredient Disputes
Users who believe a product’s Jain compliance status is inaccurate may report to: legalsupport@aadaten.com | Subject: “Jain Ingredient Complaint — [Product Name]”. Aadaten will acknowledge within 48 hours and initiate a review within 7 business days.
13. Amendments
Aadaten may update this Policy from time to time to reflect new ingredient research, evolving Jain scholarly guidance, FSSAI regulatory changes, or platform operational updates. Sellers will be notified of material changes via the Seller Dashboard and email. Continued listing of products after the effective date of any revised Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising under this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Paryushan Oli Policy
1. Introduction
Paryushan (Digambara: Paryushana; Shvetambara: Paryushana Parva) and Oli (Navpad Oli / Ayambil Oli) are the most sacred observance periods in the Jain calendar. During these periods, a large segment of the Jain community practices heightened dietary discipline — including ayambil (completely tasteless food), ekasana (one meal a day), or complete fasting. Aadaten, as India's First Integrated Jain Lifestyle Ecosystem, has an obligation to actively support these observances at the platform level.
This Policy governs: (a) product availability restrictions during Paryushan and Oli on the Platform; (b) restaurant and cloud kitchen menu modifications; (c) labelling requirements; and (d) Seller obligations during these periods.
2. Definitions
2.1 Paryushan Period
The 8-day (Shvetambara) or 10-day (Digambara — Dasha Lakshana Parva) annual festival occurring in the month of Bhadrapada (typically August–September). The exact dates vary annually by Jain calendar. Aadaten will publish the applicable Paryushan dates for each year on its Platform by 1st July of that year.
2.2 Navpad Oli / Ayambil Oli
Two nine-day Oli periods each year — one in Ashwin (September–October) and one in Chaitra (March–April) — during which Shvetambara Jains practising Navpad observe ayambil: one meal per day of boiled, plain, un-oiled grain with no salt, sugar, spices, green vegetables, dairy, or root vegetables beyond the standard Jain prohibition.
2.3 Ayambil-Grade Product
A product that contains ONLY boiled or unprocessed grains, legumes, or cereals — with no oil, salt, sugar, artificial flavouring, spices, dairy, or vegetables of any kind. Extremely limited category; applicable to specific SKUs in Pure Pantry.
2.4 Parva / Ekasana Days
Various monthly Jain fasting days (8th, 14th tithi of each lunar fortnight — Ashtami, Chaturdashi) and specific occasions such as Akshay Tritiya, Mahavir Jayanti, and Diwali (Dipa Mala / Sura Narak Chaturdashi), during which heightened dietary observance is common.
3. Platform-Level Restrictions During Paryushan
During the Paryushan period (both Shvetambara 8 days and Digambara 10 days, observed consecutively where they differ), Aadaten will implement the following:
3.1 Mandatory Product Flagging
All products in the Pure Pantry, Nature's Kitchen, and Cloud Kitchen categories will display a seasonal Paryushan banner.
Products that contain any of the following will be flagged 'Not Recommended During Paryushan': green vegetables (saag, palak, methi, coriander, pudina), brinjal, root vegetables (standard prohibition applies year-round), multiple-seed items, night-harvested ingredients.
Products explicitly meeting Ayambil-grade standards will be tagged "Ayambil Suitable" with a dedicated filter in the Pure Pantry category.
3.2 Cloud Kitchen & Dine-In Menu
The Dine-In restaurant and Cloud Kitchen will publish a dedicated Paryushan Menu featuring only Ayambil-suitable and Ekasana-suitable options.
Non-Paryushan items remain available but will carry a visible "Regular Menu — Not Paryushan Suitable" label.
No special oils, fried items, or excessive spice items will be promoted during this period.
3.3 Seller Obligations
Sellers offering food products must review their listings before each Paryushan period and self-certify compliance in the Seller Dashboard by the date notified by Aadaten.
Sellers who fail to flag non-Paryushan items will be subject to temporary listing suspension during the period.
4. Platform-Level Restrictions During Oli (Ayambil Oli)
During both Oli periods (Ashwin and Chaitra), the following shall apply:
Aadaten will activate an "Ayambil Corner" section within the Pure Pantry category featuring only Ayambil-grade products.
Cloud Kitchen will offer a minimum of 5 Ayambil-suitable dishes on each day of Oli.
Products containing milk, dairy, sugar, salt, oil, and spices will not be actively promoted during Oli in marketing communications.
Jain Food Festival, if occurring during or near Oli, will feature a dedicated Ayambil Stall zone.
5. Monthly Parva & Ekasana Days
Aadaten will maintain and publish an annual Jain Parva Calendar on the Platform by 1st January each year. On Ashtami, Chaturdashi, and major festival days:
The Cloud Kitchen and Dine-In menu will highlight Ekasana-friendly options.
Push notifications and WhatsApp Community messages will carry respectful Parva day acknowledgement (not promotional content).
No heavy discount or sale campaigns targeting food products will be run on Paryushan Parva days.
6. Seasonal Products — Chaturmas Guidelines
During Chaturmas (the 4-month monsoon period), Jain dietary tradition restricts root vegetables, green leafy vegetables (due to insect risk in monsoon growth), and multi-seeded vegetables. Aadaten will:
Display a Chaturmas Suitable filter in Pure Pantry during this period.
Flag multi-seeded vegetables (brinjal, tomato, cucumber) as 'Check Before Purchase — Chaturmas Period'.
7. Amendments & Annual Calendar
This Policy is reviewed annually. Aadaten's Jain Calendar (published by 1st January each year) is the reference document for all restriction periods. In case of conflict between this Policy and the annual calendar, the calendar prevails for operational purposes.

These Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Aadaten Private Limited ("Aadaten", "We", "Us", "Our"), governing your access to and use of the Platform at www.aadaten.com, the Aadaten mobile applications, and all associated services including the Ecommerce Marketplace, Aadaten Stores (Retail), Dine-In Restaurant, Chai Coffee, Jain Food Festival, Exhibitions, Cloud Kitchen, Marketing Services, Enterprise & Express (Wholesale), and Global Vision (Subscriptions) (collectively, the "Services").
BY ACCESSING THE PLATFORM OR USING ANY SERVICE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS, TOGETHER WITH THE PRIVACY POLICY, DATA SAFETY POLICY, JAIN INGREDIENT & PURITY POLICY, RETURN & REFUND POLICY, SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY, COOKIE POLICY, AND ALL OTHER POLICIES PUBLISHED ON THE PLATFORM (COLLECTIVELY, "THE POLICIES"). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE PLATFORM.
Use of the Platform is available only to persons who can form a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 — i.e., persons who are 18 years of age or older, of sound mind, and not disqualified from contracting by any applicable law.
2. Platform & Aadaten's Role
Aadaten operates as a technology-enabled marketplace, lifestyle ecosystem, event organiser, and direct-service provider. In its marketplace capacity, Aadaten provides the Platform through which independent Sellers and Buyers interact. The commercial and contractual terms between Buyers and Sellers (price, shipping, returns) are governed by the applicable policies on the Platform. Aadaten is not the Seller of record for third-party Seller products, unless explicitly stated.
For products sold directly by Aadaten (own-brand or private-label), Aadaten is the Seller of record.
For Dine-In, Cloud Kitchen, Chai Coffee, and Exhibition services, Aadaten is the direct service provider.
3. Account Registration
You may browse the Platform without registration, but placing orders, booking stalls, or accessing personalised features requires a registered account.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Aadaten is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account due to your failure to protect credentials.
Aadaten reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or engage in fraudulent activity.
One account per person. Corporate/business accounts must use a business email and provide GST/PAN details where required.
4. Jain Purity Commitment
Aadaten is built on the principle that Jain philosophy — anchored in Ahimsa, Anekantavada, and Aparigraha — is a complete lifestyle science. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that:
All food, beverage, cosmetic, and wellness products listed on the Platform are subject to Aadaten's Jain Ingredient & Purity Policy.
Sellers are obligated to ensure product Jain compliance. Aadaten is not liable for Seller misrepresentation, but will investigate and delist non-compliant products upon receiving a valid complaint.
Seasonal restrictions (Paryushan, Oli) are applied on the Platform as described in the Paryushan & Oli Policy. Users are encouraged to verify product suitability for their specific observance practice with the Seller.
5. Ordering & Payment
Placing an order on the Platform constitutes an offer to purchase, which becomes a binding contract upon Aadaten's or the Seller's order confirmation.
Prices on the Platform are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise. Prices are subject to change without notice prior to order placement.
Aadaten accepts: UPI, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), net banking, popular wallets (PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay), Cash on Delivery (subject to pincode availability), and bank transfer (for B2B/Enterprise orders).
All card transactions are processed by Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). Aadaten does not store full card data.
In the event of a pricing error, Aadaten reserves the right to cancel the order and notify you before processing. A full refund will be issued for any payment already made.
COD orders: An additional COD handling fee may apply and will be disclosed at checkout. COD is not available for all pincodes or product categories (e.g., express orders above ₹5,000 may require prepayment).
6. Delivery, Returns & Refunds
Delivery timelines, return windows (currently 3 days from delivery for most categories — see Return & Refund Policy for category-specific rules), refund timelines, and non-returnable categories are governed by the Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Shipping & Delivery Policy, which form part of these Terms by reference.
7. Prohibited Uses
You must not use the Platform to:
List, sell, or promote products that violate the Jain Ingredient & Purity Policy.
Submit false or misleading product information, reviews, or identity details.
Engage in fraud, money laundering, or any illegal transaction.
Circumvent the Platform's payment system by transacting directly with Sellers to avoid Platform fees.
Use automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract Platform data without written authorisation.
Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or in violation of any applicable Indian law.
Impersonate Aadaten, its staff, or any other User.
Upload malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt Platform functionality.
8. Intellectual Property
The name "Aadaten", the Aadaten logo, all Platform content, product images (of Aadaten own-brand products), collection names (AHIMSA SUIT, PURE PANTRY, LIVING ATELIER, WELLNESS LABS, COUTURE & ACCENTS, LIFESTYLE CONCIERGE, JAYNA PURVAK KITCHEN, JAIN SATVIC ATELIER), and all associated branding are the exclusive intellectual property of Aadaten Private Limited.
Third-party Seller product images and descriptions are the intellectual property of respective Sellers.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any Aadaten IP without prior written permission. Permitted personal, non-commercial use includes saving or printing Platform content for personal reference.
9. Third-Party Sellers & Marketplace Disclaimer
Aadaten does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by third-party Sellers beyond the compliance framework described in the Jain Ingredient Policy and Vendor Agreement. Aadaten facilitates the transaction but is not liable for product defects or misrepresentation by Sellers, subject to the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Where Aadaten is the Seller of record (own-brand products), full liability lies with Aadaten.

Aadaten makes no representation as to the qualifications, licensing, or accuracy of advice given by these professionals. Any engagement with a Lifestyle Concierge professional is directly between you and the professional. Aadaten is not liable for any outcomes, losses, or damages arising from such engagement.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Aadaten's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform or Services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim, or ₹5,000 (five thousand rupees), whichever is lower.
Aadaten shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by Aadaten's negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019).
12. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties for 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra. For consumer disputes, the Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum with appropriate jurisdiction shall have concurrent jurisdiction as provided under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

For buyer-fault returns (change of mind within policy window), logistics costs are shared as per the commission structure. Sellers must resolve customer complaints forwarded by Aadaten within 48 hours.
7. Intellectual Property
Product images and content uploaded by the Seller remain the Seller’s IP. While Aadaten takes all reasonable care to ensure accuracy, Aadaten makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the Platform or its content.
2. Health & Wellness Disclaimer
Products listed under Wellness Labs, Vitality & Energy, Daily Wellness, and The Mother & Child categories are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Information provided on product listings is for general informational and educational purposes only and is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified healthcare provider before using any wellness supplement, herbal preparation, or health product.
Health claims made by Sellers on their product listings are the Sellers' responsibility. Aadaten does not independently verify all health claims and disclaims liability for any health outcomes arising from the use of Seller-listed products.
3. Jain Compliance Disclaimer
While Aadaten implements rigorous Jain Ingredient & Purity Standards, the determination of whether a product is suitable for your specific Jain observance practice is ultimately a personal and spiritual matter. Aadaten's Jain-Certified designation reflects compliance with Aadaten's Standard Jain framework. Individuals following stricter personal practices (e.g., Paryushan-grade, Sthanakvasi, specific Sampraday guidelines) should verify individual product ingredients with the Seller before purchase.
4. Spiritual & Lifestyle Concierge Services Disclaimer
Services offered under the Lifestyle Concierge vertical — including but not limited to Numerology, Astro-Analytics, Vastu Energy Audits, Mindfulness Coaching, and Matrimony — are offered by independent third-party professionals, not by Aadaten. These services are for guidance, informational, and personal development purposes only. Aadaten does not endorse, validate, or guarantee the accuracy, efficacy, or outcomes of any spiritual, astrological, or numerological guidance provided through the Platform.
5. Professional Services Disclaimer
Medical specialists, legal counsel, wealth advisors, and architects listed under Lifestyle Concierge are independent licensed professionals. Aadaten facilitates discovery and connection only. Any engagement with these professionals is a direct agreement between you and the professional. Aadaten does not supervise, employ, or control these professionals and is not liable for the quality or outcome of their services. Verify credentials, licensing, and qualifications independently before engaging.
6. Pricing Disclaimer
While every effort is made to ensure accurate pricing on the Platform, errors may occur. In case of a pricing error, Aadaten reserves the right to cancel the order with full refund. Product prices are subject to change without prior notice.
7. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., payment gateways, logistics trackers, social media). These links are provided for convenience. Aadaten has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party websites. Accessing such links is at your own risk.
8. Food Safety Disclaimer

Ahimsa Ethical Sourcing Policy
1. Foundation
At Aadaten, Ahimsa — non-violence in thought, word, and deed — is not an aspiration. It is the operating principle. This Ahimsa & Ethical Sourcing Policy codifies the minimum standards Aadaten expects of every Seller, manufacturer, supplier, and partner whose products are offered through the Platform.
This Policy reflects the Jain principle that the pursuit of commerce must never come at the cost of sentient life, human dignity, or ecological balance. It applies to all product categories on the Platform.
2. No Animal Cruelty
Cosmetics, personal care, and beauty products must be cruelty-free — no animal testing at any stage of production, including raw material testing. Sellers must provide cruelty-free certification (PETA, Leaping Bunny, or equivalent) upon request.
Apparel and accessories must not use leather, fur, suede, exotic animal skin, or silk (where silk is not consensually farmed). Plant-based, TENCEL, organic cotton, or recycled alternatives are preferred.
Down and feather fills in bedding or apparel are not preferred. Recycled or plant-based fill alternatives are encouraged.
No products derived from endangered or CITES-listed species.
3. No Child or Bonded Labour
Sellers represent and warrant that their products are manufactured without the use of child labour (persons under 14 years of age) or bonded/forced labour, in compliance with the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 1976, and applicable ILO conventions. Aadaten reserves the right to audit or request declarations from Sellers in this regard.
4. Sustainable Packaging
Sellers are encouraged to use minimal, recyclable, or biodegradable packaging. Excessive or single-use plastic packaging is discouraged.
Aadaten's own packaging for Cloud Kitchen and Aadaten Stores is progressively transitioning to sustainable, compostable materials.
Products marketed as 'eco-friendly' or 'sustainable' must carry verifiable third-party certification or declaration.
5. Fair Trade & Fair Wages
Aadaten prefers to partner with producers who pay fair wages, operate in safe working conditions, and support local artisans and small farmers. This is not yet a mandatory condition for all Sellers, but is a scored metric in Aadaten's Seller rating system and in the curation of Aadaten-featured products.
6. Organic & Clean-Label Standards
Products marketed as 'organic' must carry USDA Organic, India Organic (APEDA/NPOP), or equivalent certification.
Products marketed as 'natural' should not contain synthetic dyes, artificial preservatives (beyond FSSAI-permitted levels), or genetically modified organisms (GMOs) without declaration.
Aadaten's 'Clean Label' designation (applied to select Pure Pantry and Wellness Labs products) requires: no artificial colours, no artificial flavours, no chemical preservatives, no MSG or synthetic glutamates.
7. Aparigraha — No Overconsumption
In keeping with the Jain principle of Aparigraha (non-possessiveness), Aadaten does not endorse or participate in manufacturing urgency, fake scarcity, or predatory pricing tactics. Aadaten commits to never running promotions designed to trigger impulsive overconsumption. This principle extends to the Platform's own marketing practices.
8. Seller Compliance
Sellers must represent in the Seller Agreement that their products and manufacturing practices comply with this Policy. Non-compliance discovered post-listing will result in delisting and may result in account termination. Aadaten may request third-party audits of Seller facilities as a condition of listing premium products in the Aadaten Curated or Aadaten Certified collections.

Sustainability Esg Declaration
1. Aadaten’s Sustainability Vision
Aadaten was founded on the Jain principle of Aparigraha — non-possessiveness — which at the commercial level translates to building a business that takes only what it needs from the earth, gives back more than it takes, and never compromises ecological balance for profit. This Sustainability & ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Declaration articulates Aadaten’s current commitments and aspirational targets.
2. Environmental Commitments
2.1 Packaging
Aadaten’s Cloud Kitchen and Retail Store packaging is progressively transitioning to compostable, sugarcane bagasse, and recycled paper materials.
Single-use plastic is banned from Aadaten’s own operations effective 2026.
Sellers on the marketplace are encouraged (and in Premium Curated collections, required) to use minimal and sustainable packaging.
2.2 Food Waste
Cloud Kitchen operations follow a demand-based production model to minimise food waste.
Surplus food from events and the Cloud Kitchen is donated to community initiatives wherever feasible.
2.3 Carbon Footprint
Aadaten is committed to measuring and progressively reducing the carbon footprint of its logistics and operations.
Local and regional sourcing of products is prioritised to minimise transport emissions.
3. Social Commitments
3.1 Artisan & Small Producer Support
Aadaten actively curates and promotes products from small Jain family businesses, traditional artisans, heritage craft producers, and organic farmers. Aadaten’s marketplace is not just a sales channel — it is a platform for preserving Jain cultural and artisanal heritage.
3.2 Fair Commerce
Aadaten’s Zero-Burn CAC model ensures that community growth and Seller income are not subsidised by unsustainable discounting. Sellers receive fair, market-rate commission structures that reflect the genuine value of the Aadaten platform and community.
3.3 Community Wealth
Aadaten’s exhibition and marketplace model actively circulates commerce within the Jain business community, keeping wealth within the ecosystem through ethical, circular commerce — rather than allowing it to flow to platforms indifferent to Jain values. Each edition of the Aadaten Exhibition and every transaction on the marketplace contributes to a self-sustaining Jain economy.
4. Governance Commitments
Aadaten is committed to full compliance with applicable Indian laws including GST, FSSAI, DPDP Act, Consumer Protection Act, Companies Act, and all Jain-specific ethical standards.
All legal policies are published publicly on the Platform and reviewed annually.
Grievance mechanisms are available to all stakeholders — customers, Sellers, employees, and community members.
Aadaten does not engage in fake reviews, dark patterns, artificial scarcity, or predatory pricing.
5. Reporting
Aadaten will publish an annual Sustainability & Impact Report (beginning FY 2026–27) covering key ESG metrics, Jain community impact, and progress against these commitments.
6. Living Document
This Declaration is reviewed and updated annually. Aadaten’s sustainability journey is continuous — we hold ourselves accountable to these commitments and to the communities we serve.
